  • "Sifnos to Mykonos good trip Aug 4th 2019"

Booked tickets 10 months ago, printed them out in Mykonos 3 weeks ago said SEAJET 2. 0900. ( no motivation of any change as per previous) Looked on the web, the boat was SUPERJET so went to the Sifnos office a few days before sailing (tickets were the amendable version) and corrected the tickets, the ships name is all important—this was the only hiccup! Everyone very helpful and professional, Club class empty and ship on on time, 2 hour trip not the 5 hour one on the booking so brilliant Always confirm boat name and time things can change, you may not get on the boat otherwise.

  • "Lovely boat, need ticketing improvement"

Lovely modern boat from Naxos to Mykonos, airconditioned, comfortable, spotless. Baggage storage a bit of a free for all but it worked. Only gripe is that tickets are not emailed, only the confirmation. So arrive Naxos port to find a (small) bit of paper saying you need to walk 300m to a ticketing shop, pay 1 Euro to get your ticket printed, and walk back. This seems unnecessary grit (especially as you have luggage with you) - why not just email a printable ticket, or a mobile one?

Folegandros Guide

Located in the Cyclades group of islands, the Greek island of Folegandros lies in the Aegean Sea and forms the Cycladic island chain along with the islands of Sikinos, Ios, Anafi and Santorini. It is a fairly small island, measuring around 32 sq. km, and has around 760 inhabitants who primarily live in three villages: Chora, Karavostasis, which is also the island's port, and Ano Meria. For visitors to the island looking for a vantage point to take in the island's magnificent scenery then the Church of Panaghia is located on the top of a hill and offers great views of Chora and the island's west coast. There are a number of great beaches on the island but visitors should note that all of them are fairly difficult to reach. Some can be reached after a bit of a walk whereas others can only be accessed by boat. The two beaches that can be reached by car are the beaches at Karavostasi and Angali.

The island can be reached by conventional ferry, Highspeed ferry or Flying Dolphin from Piraeus, Rafini, the other islands of the Cycladic islands, Crete, Rhodes and the rest of the Dodecanese islands and the East Aegean Islands. Travel times vary depending on destination and ferry type but journey times range from 3.5 hours to 11 hours. The island's harbour, Karavostasi, has a few shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy.

Mykonos Guide

The Greek island of Mykonos is one of the Cyclades group of islands and is famous for its unique glamour and typical Greek personality. The island's capital is Mykonos Town, or Hora, and is the hub of the island's tourist industry. Exploring the town, visitors will find its charming old port ferry quay, the bustling Taxi Square, many tavernas located along the shoreline, museums, expensive shops and typical Greek whitewashed houses, especially in the Little Venice quarter. Despite all that Mykonos Town has to offer, perhaps the island's biggest draw for tourists are its many beaches, with golden sand that are generally easy to reach. However, during the peak summer holiday season the beaches can become very busy and generally aren't large enough to provide any sort of seclusion.

There are two ports on the island. The old Mykonos Harbour is where all passenger ferries arrive and the New Port of Tourlos which is mostly used by cruise ships. Ferries from Mykonos depart to Piraeus and Rafina on the Greek mainland and to the other Cyclades islands, the Dodecanese islands and to Crete. Conventional and high speed ferries operate to and from the island.
