Namhae Gosok connects Jeju Province, a South Korean island to the south of the Korean Peninsula, with Goheung County on the nation’s southern coast, part of Jeollanam-do Province.
1955 saw the introduction of Namhae Gosok as a trade shipping company in Jeju Island, widely regarded as one of South Korea’s most scenic locations. Now offering passenger transportation services, the Goheung route was added to their timetable in 2004, proving to be one of their busiest sailings. Namhae Gosok operates six ferries, all with a great selection of accommodation including private double rooms and shared singles, as well as large indoor decks with plenty of seating.
Jeju is Korea’s largest island, and has become one of the country’s favourite domestic holiday destinations owing to its sun-drenched beaches, rolling countryside and luxury hotels. Goheung is one of the southernmost counties on the Korean Peninsula, encompassing over a hundred and fifty islands, home to the Naro Space Centre and numerous shellfish and seaweed industries.
