"Rotterdam to Hull"
If you are travelling to the north of England from the Continent, and want to get there refreshed, then this is the route to take. The sailing was pleasant, the rooms clean and tidy, and the meal, though expensive (we did not pre-book), good. We (husband, wife and one 4 yr old) got on board early (at 06.30) and sat down to a meal. This would not have been our first choice for activity, as our daughter was all set on going to the kiddies play area. Unfortunately, someone had broken the glass window, and the ball-pool was consequently closed. After our meal, we watched Toy story 3 with her, before heading off to bed. We took a standard cabin, as there is little point in looking out of a port hole into the pitch black night. Also, if there is any rough weather, I assume there would be less rocking in the interior of the ship. One of the beds (bunks) was not quite level, but since there were only three of us, this was not a problem: we simply switched bed. The shower area was clean and the shower I enjoyed in the morning was hot and powerful. We rolled off the ship within minutes, thought there was a delay because the foot bridge could not be attached to the ship due to strong winds. Incidentally, we felt nothing of these winds during the night, only engine vibrations and a slight humming. All in all, we found the trip relaxing and well worth taking. This was our second trip and probably not the last.
