"May 2017 - We highly recommend P & O Irish Sea - Direct Ferries."
We had an excellent trip and highly recommend P & O Irish Sea.
Travellers, please be aware that these boats are not designed for disabled travellers or children, they are freight carriers, no lifts. If you can manage stairs, there are 2 - 3 sets, depending on whether you take a cabin. My sister and I took our 81yr old mother to Ireland. The 3 of us travelled from Liverpool to Dublin and return. From the moment we arrived at the port, our trip was a breeze. The staff were a delight, warm, friendly, smiley and extremely professional and efficient. It's not easy travelling with a mum who is not so stready on her feet but they did all that was possible to assist us at every step. The meals were freshly cooked and tasty. My sister is a vegetarian, so we were pleasantly surprised when the chef made a special main meal for my sister, on both trips. So kind. Though the boats and facilities are quite old and dated, we could not fault them, at all, as they were immaculate. We actually enjoyed stepping back in time to when we travelled as children. Loved it. We do have a couple of recommendations to the company, that we feel are very important.
1. To provide the full postal address on the tickets, where the boat departs from and a contact number?
2. Improve on signage to the departure point, as they are very small and few.
I would like to thank and congratulate P & O Irish Sea on their wonderful staff and the quality of service.
See you again soon.
Kind regards,
Mandy
