Seaworld Express Ferry

Seaworld Express Ferry is a South Korean company, based on the south coast, interlinking Mokpo, a city in South Jeolla Province; the port of Haenam Usuyeung; and Jeju Island.

Offering regular routes from the mainland to the country’s largest island and most popular domestic holiday destination, Jeju Island, Seaworld Express Ferry is one of the most frequently used operators in South Korea, particularly during the summer months.

The company’s flagship, Sea Star Cruise, is large vessel with an on-board bakery, video game arcade and karaoke room, while affording tantalising views of Jeju approaching from the horizon. Seaworld Express Ferry also operates a smaller catamaran called Queen Star 2, providing the fastest sailing to Jeju, complete with a range of modern amenities and comfortable seats. And finally, Santa Lucino, another large cruise ship, boasts plenty of top-quality cabins from family accommodation and Junior Suites to VIP rooms, as well as massage chairs and a seminar room.

Seaworld Express Ferry Customer Reviews

  • "Very good experience"

Very good journey and facilities onboard. Quick and easy boarding etc. Clean. Easy booking and communication. For non-Koreans...Book a cabin if you are not used to sitting on floor as the 'seats' you get allocated are floor matting in a shared room. We sat on deck but next time might book a 'sleep' cabin or similar. There are plenty of seats in the main areas if you get on early!

  • "Terminal of departure"

This ferry leaves from the international terminal! There are several terminals in the port. That was not written anywhere on the information from Direct Ferries!

  • "Very nice ferry trip"

The booking process wasn't the best - I competed the online booking then didn't hear anything for 5 days and was a little worried. Then received the confirmation around 72hrs before departure. The ferry terminal departure address given in the booking confirmation is incorrect - you have to go to the international terminal at 14 Haean-ro 148beon-gil, Manho-dong, Mokpo-si. The ferry itself was great, much better than expected. It was a huge ship with lots of facilities, very comfortable and fantastic views.

  • "Lovely crossing"

Took the 9am ferry from Mokpo to Jeju. Smooth sailing, very punctual. You are allocated a space on the floor in shared rooms below deck, but we say in the restaurant and wandered about for most of it and it was really pleasant. Great scenery, several shops and snack places on board. Recommended! Took about two days for Direct Ferries to send the confirmation, which is in line with what they say to expect. Would have been impossible to book with the operator directly as their site is only in Korean. They did a good job for us ;)
