Arriving at the ferry terminal at 2 am (several hours early due to a forced last minute change of plans and a mad dash through Europe) I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go, or wait, as the terminal is being upgraded and the direction signs were a little confusing (though correct). However, the staff on the ferry were brilliant - I can fudge my way through a little Finnish, but they all spoke high level English, and came to my rescue. My journey was supposed to be to Stockholm via Denmark, but an earlier ferry crash meant that it was then from a different ferry terminal in the UK then through France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, etc. This resulted in no phone battery after changing my route, and a panic as there are no payphones in Europe. Anywhere (and nobody will let you use a phone in a petrol station). The staff at the information desk let me use their phone charger (mine conveniently stopped working) and their phone, briefly. They made a huge difference to my journey, and to my family who were incredibly worried about my lack of contact and sole 30 hour-mad-dash-drive to Stockholm. Thank you so much to the helpful staff there, it made a huge difference to one very tired traveller. I will definitely travel on this line again in the future as a result of their helpfulness and kindness. I can't thank the staff enough for this. I slept most of the crossing, so I didn't eat in the restaurant and I can't give a review for catering, but the ship was clean, on time (I was very tired, so it seemed on time to me) and had a bed and shower in the cabin, which were my main concerns.
