Sealink NZ

Sealink NZ operates within the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand, sailing to Waiheke and Great Barrier Island, to the east of Auckland, the nation’s capital on the North Island.

Starting out as a family business called SubritzykyLine in 1960, the company underwent a change of ownership and began working under the Sealink brand in 2005. Offering an extensive timetable to and from some of Auckland’s most popular offshore islands, Sealink NZ runs over a dozen services every day to Waiheke Island, primarily with the flagship, Seacat, and the only year-round service to Great Barrier Island.

Seacat was purpose-built for the Waiheke Island crossing, boasting top-of-the-range safety technology and decorated entirely in the traditional, eye-catching Sealink red. The remaining vessels in the Sealink NZ fleet include Seabridge, Seamaster, Island Navigator, Clipper II, III, IV, V and Seaway, the second most commonly used ferry. Each vessel has EFTPOS facilities and fully licenced cafes, allowing you to purchase on-board refreshments with ease.

Direct Ferries provides a ferry timetable and price comparison, based on your search criteria, allowing you to compare Sealink NZ products with multiple ferry company timetables and fares in one search.

  • "An efficient ferry service"

Your booking clerk Emily Fisher was extremely kind and efficient in guiding me to book the ferry passage that suited my timetable. The staff 'on the ground' at Half Moon Bay were very positive and guided my car skilfully onto the ferry just as it was about to depart, so I was 'last on, first off', which was fun! The only stressful part was driving through miles of urban sprawl from the airport to Half Moon Bay with hardly any signposts or directions to guide me.
